TOT for animators on Formation of woman's groups and woman's Rights |
The Animators were given a TOT (Training of Trainers) on woman's rights and formation of woman's group at the center by a Female resource person. This was a two day residential training program and attended by all 10 Animators.

Meeting with Tamil medium school principals |
Codesep Director Rev. Fr. Michael had a session with all five school principals at the center.
Main point discussed at the meeting was to find a solution for the volunteer teachers.
The result was, 05 key parents took all documents regarding the matter to southern province minister and he had promised to give a word within a weeks' time.

It was discussed how to prepare the children of Grade 04 and 05 to sit for the scholarship and O/L examinations for the year 2012.

Sinhalese and Tamil New year celebration at Deniyaya Estate |
The Children societies of Deniyaya Estate organized this cultural event at the kovil grounds with many cultural varieties. The event was all organized by the CS and attended by many distinguished guests including the Estate management and Government officials. All the children were appreciated and rewarded for the effort taken to make this event very successful. The children by themselves contributed towards the presents for the event.

Training for the Health Volunteers |
Training for the Health volunteers from SHG's were done at CODESEP center with attendance of 25 HV's.20 female and 05 male. The resource persons for the training were the Estate medical Doctor and the public health midwife. The training was on environment issues and first aid relating to health.
